The legendary Bolton striker, Kevin Davis, ended the 22-year-old professional career. The former English national used the social network Twitter to announce their decision.
`It was emotional. Thanks to everyone who helped me on a long road.`, wrote Davis and add a picture hung on the wall with cleats. The 38-year-old Davis has been without a team since the end of last season, when he was released from the team of Preston North end.
The professional career of Davis begins in Chesterfield in 1993. He made his debut for the club in a League Cup match against West Ham. His star is rising, however, four years later, when helping the modest team of Chesterfield to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup. He then goes into Southampton, and a year later bought him against Blackburn 7.5 million pounds. After 4 years, 23 games analyzed by fixed soccer games and only 1 goal for Blackburn, Davis returned back to Southampton, and in 2003 goes to Bolton on a free transfer. For 10 years with the team of `hog` he had 407 matches, in which implements 85 hits. The last two years he`s had at Preston North end, by helping the team to win promotion to the League Championship.
In 2010, the 33-year-old then Davis recorded his only match for the national team of England in the euroqualification with Montenegro.
