Officially: Nadal ends the year as No. 1 in the world

Rafael Nadal will officially end the year as No. 1 in the world. This was clear after the Spaniard won 7: 5, 6: 3 against Huang Chun (South Korea) in a match from the second round of the Masters Series in Paris. 31-year-old Nadal, who has never won the tournament in the French capital, finishes the season number one for the fourth time since 2008, 2010 and 2013.




The Spanish superstar made two breaks in the first part, but won the Korean striker three times to grab the first set. Chun first made a break and led 2: 1, but Nadal made a series of 4 consecutive games in advance of 5: 2. The Korean equaled for 5: 5, but Rafa took the next two games analyzed by soccer tips and the set.

In the second set, Rafael Nadal made a decisive break for 5: 3, then served successfully to win the 111-minute match.
