Germany ensured participation in the draw for the finals of Euro 2016 as the leader of Group D after a nervous win over Georgia with 2:1. In the course of the last meetings of the Group, the outcome could have been very different, as Poland prevailed 2:1 over Ireland and at one time even at the helm of the group.
In Leipzig, the Germans could have a flying start in the match. In the 11th minute again Royce endangered the door of the Georgians and again the last barrier was the goalkeeper.
Two minutes later, however, the star of Borussia Dortmund made an inexcusable omission, after receiving an incredible fifth submission by Andre Schurrle. It brought him all alone in front against the door, and after a great crossover movement Royce unexpectedly sent the ball towards the heavens.
The guests did hint that there is not only to defend, and in the 28th minute made a nice attack from the right, with the perfect submission on the grass for Tornike Okriasvili. He shot the speed from the penalty, and Manuel Neuer with a nice plunge cellars in a corner.
