The Croatian Ivo Karlovic became the second tennis player, achieved 10 000 aces in his career after his compatriot Goran Ivanisevic.
The giant made a total of 22 points directly from an initial shock at his victory in Montreal against the local favorite Milos Raonic with 7:6 (1), 7:6 (1). The ace No10 000 came at 3:3 in the second set. Only this season Karlovic has 1009 points from an initial shock and total 10 004. Ivanisevic`s record is of 10,183 aces.
"Of course, that I point at the achievement of Goran. I hope to improve it this year. If not, no problem. I`ll do it next year, if I`m healthy," said the 36 years old Ivo.
Ivanisevic recorded a record of total 895 played matches. The 211-centimeters Croatian reached to "10000" after just 527 games.
In the next round in Canada, Karlovic expects the winner of the match from www.bestsoccceradvice.com Richard Gasquet - Leonardo Mayer.
